Phase 2 of Hearth 2.0 Is Live: Combined Quotes, Contracts, and Taxable Line Items

Admin work gets in the way of closing jobs. If you’re a contractor, you’ve probably spent too much time juggling quotes, sending separate contracts, and chasing down signatures—when all you really want to do is win the work and move on. Those extra steps eat into your time and can slow down the sale.

That’s why Phase 2 of Hearth 2.0 is here—with new tools that simplify your process and help homeowners say “yes” faster.

Welcome to Signed Quotes—Where Your Quote Becomes the Contract

Hundreds of pros told us they wanted fewer steps between the estimate and the signature. So here’s why we combined them:

  • Your quote is now your contract – Pricing, terms, and signatures all live in one place.
  • Fewer steps =  faster sales – No need to switch tools or send separate documents.
  • Easier for homeowners – They can sign right on their phone with a finger or remotely with a click.

How It Works

  1. Add Terms Directly to Your Quote – Include your legal terms or conditions within the quote.
  2. Generate the Quote – Create clear, professional estimates in just a few clicks.
  3. Customer Signs Instantly – Whether you’re face-to-face or remote, your customer can sign digitally—using their finger on a phone or tablet, or a mouse on their computer.
  4. Securely Stored – Once signed, the contract is saved in both dashboards for easy access.

Real-World Impact

Picture this: You’re quoting a fence replacement while walking the property with a homeowner. They’re ready to move forward. Instead of saying “I’ll send over the contract later,” you open your Hearth app. With a quick tap, the homeowner reviews pricing, accepts terms, and signs right on their phone. Job booked.

No additional paperwork. No waiting for confirmation. It’s instant signatures with notifications sent to all.

Taxable Line Items: More Control, Less Guesswork

Not everything you sell is taxed the same way. In many states, materials might be taxable while labor isn’t. That’s why we’ve added a way to mark individual line items as taxable—so you can get your taxes right and avoid issues down the road.

How It Works

  • Each line item now has a taxability toggle—so you can mark what’s taxable and what’s not.
  • By default, all existing line items are set as taxable, so there’s nothing you need to do to get started.
  • Taxable items are labeled with a badge in search and on summary screens to help you stay organized.
  • When using a % tax rate, it’s applied only to taxable line items—giving you more accurate totals.
  • Your customers won’t see which items are taxable—the taxability settings are internal-only.

What’s Coming in Phase 3: Faster Payments & New HELOC Financing Options

We’re not done yet. The final phase of Hearth 2.0 launches at the end of June—and it’s focused on closing the loop from signed quote to final payment.

Here’s what’s coming:

  • Faster Payments processing – Process payments as soon as the next business day
  • Milestone payments – Get paid in stages as the job progresses—no more waiting until the end
  • Upgraded QuickBooks integration – Keep your invoices synced in both systems so everything stays up to date without the hassle—and it’s just one of several big updates we’re rolling out soon.
  • All-in-One Invoicing – Manage the full payment lifecycle in one place.
  • New Low-Interest Financing – Offer your customers HELOC options (Home Equity Line of Credit)
    • Tap into your home equity with no annual or origination fees
    • Works like a credit card, but with low rates and 2% cashback
    • Option to withdraw cash or pay contractors directly
    • Fixed monthly payments available for 5–10 years
    • Best for homeowners looking to finance at low rates

This final step will help you manage cash flow, win more deals, stay on top of your jobs, and get paid faster.
