Yes, Hearth partners with Stripe to ensure your and your customers’ digital payment security. Stripe is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest level of security certification available in the payments industry.
If you are a new customer, Hearth will automatically apply your business for digital payments during the onboarding process. We will then notify you if you have been approved, rejected, or if there is information in need of correction. Once approved, your business can begin sending invoices with digital payment collection ASAP.
To offer customer financing:
Yes, you have the option to schedule an invoice to send when you are drafting your quote, contract, or financing form to send. This invoice will automatically send to your customer after they approve the quote, sign the contract, or finance their project. If you are approved to use digital payments, you can also collect payment from your customers in the invoice. Accepted digital payment methods can include credit card, debit card, and ACH (eCheck).
The processing times are 1–3 business days for credit card and debit card payments, and 4 business days or fewer for ACH (eCheck).
For credit card and debit card payments, the fee is an industry-standard 3% of the total transaction. For ACH (eCheck) payments, it is a $5 flat fee. In certain states, you are able to pass these fees on to your customer.
From the Hearth dashboard on your computer or the Hearth App on your mobile device, you can quickly see whether a customer has viewed or paid your invoice and via which payment method type. You can also see when a customer’s invoice is overdue.
Yes, you can send your customer their digital invoice via email or text message, whichever method they prefer. We will send them automated reminders to pay via the same communication method leading up to the due date of their invoice.
No, you do not need to use digital payments with your invoices. If you choose to collect payment in person via check or cash, you can simply mark the invoice as paid in your Hearth dashboard, and we will send the appropriate notification to your customer.
